RER is more than just a factory; we are a company with over a century of history. Our journey started over 130 years ago. Let’s explore how our factory has grown and evolved over the years.
1888 — The enterprise was originally based on the former joint Russian and French partnership “Provodnik.” This manufacturing plant specialized in producing technical and surgical rubber products, along with linoleum and hard rubber items. During this period, Provodnik had representatives in several European countries and became the world’s fourth-largest producer of rubber products, as well as the second-largest manufacturer of car tires.
1946 — A new era dawned: the former territory of the “Provodnik” factory was repurposed for crafting electrical equipment for commuter trains. The factory was enhanced with specialized shops for mechanical repairs, tool production, winding and insulation, and the manufacture of anchors and small parts. Notably, this year marked the production of the first DTI-60 tram engine coils and passenger car power supply systems equipped with RD-2 generators.
